Precise Information, for a Complete Understanding of Your Notes Database

Thanks to the complete and detailed information collected from Notes databases by InfoNSF you are now able to answer most questions on Notes infrastructure. InfoNSF will easily detect problems and can guide you in correcting these problems in Notes applications.

All database information is presented in an easy overview that can be interpreted by the Administrator or Developer. The built-in alert view can be used to automate daily tasks in managing your Notes databases. Auditing all Notes Databases in a flash for consolidation and migration projects is now possible.

InfoNFS provides highly detailed reports, which give you information at a glance and the ability to access "drilled down" information.

All collected data are presented in a Notes database allowing you to build different views on the fly .

The Notes developer will use the information relating to the size of the various viewing indexes and optimize the applications’ capabilities. If too great a number of deletion stubs appear, the administrator will recognize the irregularity. Within seconds, it is possible to determine if a Notes database is active or not, thanks to statistical graphs. This permits the Administrator to decide whether or not to delete it from the server.

InfoNSF is easy to install and configure, totally transparent, and presents absolutely no risk to your Domino infrastructure (it doesn’t modify the databases it analyzes). The product is indispensable for Notes developers and administrators who want to increase their infrastructure efficiency, and respond to complex issues rapidly and effectively.

InfoNSF is the only Analytical Tool Administrators and Developers need to fully understand Lotus Notes Databases.

InfoNSF:

Analyzes all databases on a desktop or on a server (exceptions allowed),
Analyzes the size of Notes Databases (Documents, attachments, etc),
Analyzes code on application servers (Formula, Lotuscript),
 Extracts replication information,
Analyzes ACL’s to understand the security of your applications,
Provides statistical information in graphs and tables,
Views all information about agents (Schedules, etc),
Provides full understanding about the activity of your Notes Databases,
Provides Alerts based on database size changes and number of documents,
 Can extract only specific information,
 And much more ...

Control Agents

Being able to verify that agents of different Notes databases have completed their job is essential for the health of the applications running on your servers. InfoNSF establishes a clear view of the agents running on a server by creating a Notes document created for the databases audited by InfoNSF. By using the view that shows all the scheduled agents you can immediately identify those that are inactive. The same view can identify all scheduled agents that are mistakenly set for launch at the same time. Controlling your agents avoids server overcharge and conflicting resources.

Control ACL’s: the heart of Notes databases security

The Access Control List defines the level of access to an application for all users. Staying close to this information is essential for infrastructure security. ACL’s depend on the Name and Address Book (NAB) where different groups get their ACL status. Analyzing ACL’s just to get a list of different groups is not sufficient. The analysis of ACL’s with InfoNSF includes the list of all entries with their access status and type, the list of roles, and tracking history of ACL modifications.

Only a detailed overview of the ACL’s allows  administrators to understand the real identity of the users being allowed to access Notes databases. InfoNSF provides a collapsed overview of ACL’s, as well as different detailed views per database for each user. These are just a few examples that provide a clear picture of your ACL’s status and the risks associated with them.

Your notes information in a Notes Database

Cooperteam’s choice to present all the information produced by InfoNSF in a Notes Database allows all treatment of data to be done by Notes processes. It is also easier for the Notes Administrator to build new additional Notes views and modify or hide information to retrieve data corresponding to his or her specific needs. For the Application developers are often worried about not being able to retrieve all database information using only API Lotuscript or @Formula, can now also find additional helpful data using InfoNSF. Due to the limitation of Notes Database storage, text files are attached to the InfoNSF result document, providing developers with very extensive and detailed information to facilitate their work.

The Consolidated Information in the Interface Provides Critically Important Data

InfoNSF makes it possible to have accurate information for a total understanding of the Notes databases. The information consolidated in the results includes:

Volumetric aspects of the database (distribution of the space allocated between the documents, the Design, attached files...)
Application code (extraction of the code @Formula and Lotuscript, research of the field names accentuated, statistics on the @Formula used, extraction of the constants of code)
ACL’s (the names & user rights of all users accessing the database)
 Agents
 Replication options (flags, formulas)
 Activity of the Notes database
 And much more…

InfoNSF was designed to enable the administrators to work more efficently and gain a higher understanding of each and every database they maintain.  And let's not forget that it is as useful to the application developers that will use it to understand how a database functions or is used, as it is to the administrators.
